I've spent around £1400 with a business in the last month. They provided a reasonable service but were a hassle to deal with - they constantly harped on about the price I was given being very cheap and how I shouldn't have got a quote that low, and then made me pay it in full although I wasn't booking the second half of it there and then.
Then when I did use the second part of the service, which I had paid for, they made a big fuss about me not booking it far enough in advance (although they were still able to carry it out), and how difficult it was for them to accommodate me.
Then they messed up various details, and phoned me 7 or 8 times on my mobile whilst I was abroad, despite me telling them to contact me by email. There was issue after issue, all of which they managed to turn into a major crisis. The manner in which one of the business owners spoke to me was rude, and eventually I got fed up and told her that I would take my business elsewhere and they could keep my money, because I could no longer stand being spoken to like a 12 year old child and I dreaded speaking to them so much.
That seemed to settle them down, the work was carried out and I dealt with their very reasonable and sensible member of staff from then on who had no dramas, and I thought we were finished, but then the other business owner decided to email me at length to question why I had got annoyed with them. Now I find out that they have discussed me with another user of their business and complained that I am difficult to deal with.
Am I being U to wish that they would just feck off and leave me alone, never to deal with them again?
