To cancel an interview

Interview tomorrow is for a full time nanny 7-7 5 days a week. I got the interview through an agency who at the time said its 16 miles away. Turns out 16 miles as the bird would fly and 24 miles by road. Will take about 45 mins to get there

AIBU to cancel?

Not at all if you don't want to do it. That would be a waste of time for all involved.

If you don't want the job then cancel. What's the point of going for the interview if you know you don't want it? Wastes everybody's time.

I'm thinking but it's a job at the end of the day

If you have no intention of accepting the job if you were offered it then cancel and don't waste their time.

If you are considering accepting the job if you were offered it then, don't cancel and go to it. The interview may sway you to believe its the right opportunity for you.

is it the time to get there or the petrol money? If the time then see how long it takes at 6.30 am with no traffic? As the lack of traffic both early and later can make a massive difference.

It sounds a like a fantastic job but the hours and travel are the thing holding me back

It's the commute on top of a 12 hour day.
