Background: I was rude to WorldPeaceAndFreeProsecco on a thread about dentists. So, quite rightly, she ripped me a new one.

I apologise first for offences against style and content to the whole board, and to WPAFP for being an arse.

Second, and this is a bit more important, I breached the MN "safe space". Too many posters are living with the kind of twat I was for (hopefully) a short interval. Only their twats are full time.

I know it's been nearly a week but TBH I've been building the courage to come back; female disapproval used to come with fists when I was younger. Still tend go a bit catatonic and vomity when shouted at. Bit odd after nearly 40 years.

I like it here. On occasion, I might be able to help. I've been helped as well. Also, Lemon Drizzle was right up there with The Picolax Thread. So if it's all right I'd like to keep posting. I can do you HGVs, leg injuries, opioids, barking teenage DD, residential care via DW, bacon. Viagra and side effects on request only.

Oh ffs everyone. I didn't and am not going to read the thread and frankly, couldn't give a shit who said what to whom. But the OP's post is clearly genuine and well intentioned and very sweet. It should be recognised as such. Stop being so quick to find fault.

Umm, I think Disgrace has assumed that one of the 2 men WorldPeace was complaining about on her thread that is linked, was him. Not that he is on the thread. I think they fell out on a thread about Dentists, and she complained about him openly on the 'sleazy men' thread.

So he is now apologising openly.

...and now having read the Dentist thread, I actually think WorldPeace was unnecessarily rude to Disgrace, so there was no need for an apology.

Disgrace: I try to see the best in people, so I assume that you thought you were doing the right thing by posting 'A bloke writes' at the start of your posts. I can understand that. If I frequented a majorly male dominated site I may do the same. You don't need to do that here, we have a number of male posters - some open and loud/proud about it, some assume we know and at times it comes as a surprise! But it's your views/friendship/advice/chat etc that MNers care about, not your sex. So you needn't bother.
