Five hours behind us.

I've told him he's getting it at 1.00pm...his time. He's happy with that.

You can Google 'current time in...' and it will give you it anywhere in the world. It's really useful.

ICameOnTheJitney · 04/10/2013 21:44

MrsTerry I did and my poor brain went "Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz" when I saw the figures. I think I have some sort of numerical learning disability but I'm 40 now and in the 70s nobody cared about that sort of thing. I've learned to cope. Grin

It's ok but it does mean I rely on MN and other people to do very simple maths etc for me. And I can't tell the time.

Is it this? I think I have a touch of it since DD was born almost 3 years ago. My brain does that noise frequently. I couldn't remember what my DH's company was called this morning. Complete blank.

ICameOnTheJitney · 04/10/2013 21:57

Ooh well a lot of that fits MrsTerry....I can't read maps at all and even directions given clearly are confusing to me. I get lost all the time...I once walked out of the BBC and into the main foyer thing and the man I was with looked at me and said "You don't know the way out do you?" he knew I'd been in and out a dozen or more times that week and saw that I had no recollection...and he was SO nice. He said "That must be SO hard to live with!"

Bless him...it was the first time someone hadn't laughed at me for it. I also have the noise sensitivity they mention...can't walk past a hand dryer or a siren. And I DO have a good imagination...I'm a writer...I have a special relationship with words and some combinations of letters actually affect me physically.

Kim the other day DD wanted me to help her with decimal points...I read and read the teacher's instructions and couldn't get it so asked DH. He explained it to me...nope...he showed it to me with things instead of numbers and I got it...then I did a few sums...then the knowledge flew out of my head again! It was there and then it was gone. I think some of us just aren't meant to have the knowledge! Grin I caught it and it left...but I have other things. I just hope I'm never in some kind of life or death situation where I need to add up quickly! We'll all be buggered!

Kim I think I live in cartoons too much and was imagining myself de-activating a bomb. Blush
