is this a bit weird?

this will out me but don't really care as ive never said anything on here that I wouldn't normally anyway so here gos.
have a 9 year old son with my ex called toby jake.
he has just had a baby with his girlfriend and they have called him theo jay.
obviously they both have the same surname.
I have always called my son tj for short.
am I being unreasonable to think that IF they start calling their son tj then that is very odd indeed?
or am I the odd one?
several other people have also commented on the similarity of the name and think its a bit strange so not just me.

I don't think it's weird until they start calling him TJ. If I was your son and my dad had a new baby and called it by my name I'd be quite upset.

Yes I think it's odd, they are similar. What did you say to your ex about it?

nothing because ive only just found out his second name is jay.
strange thing is his girlfriends mum was showing me pictures of him and saying that he was the spitting image of my son and that you would think they were full brothers.
also a tad odd imo.
