To wonder what the point of short sleeved jumpers is?

Particularly for children. Just, why? If it's cold enough to wear a jumper, it's cold enough for your arms to be covered.

I also thought this earlier when I was in a well known high street store New Look. I assumed I was thinking it because I appear to be turning elderly overnight so I'm glad you wonder about it too!

I like to wear em with a long sleeved cotton top underneath.
Nicer against the skin and no big bulky sleeves to push into a jacket.

Ken a nice belt and wooly scarf can make a very big jumper look a wee bit stylish and then maybe just maybe, mind a gilet?

Until it's really cold and they you buy a bigger sized coat so you can fit your big fat jumper under it. Oh I hate being cold

I guess it's just an extra layer, better than nothing. I'm a bit weird in that as long as my torso is nice and warm I'm happy, so you'll often see me in my gilet and flip flops. Not exactly the epitome of style but meh.

Because your body needs the warmth a lot more than your arms. You can stay warm whilst having your arms free of bulky material, so you can do a lot more. Pretty simple to figure out really.

I wear short sleeved jumpers under suits for work.

I had a short-sleeved cable-knit sweater years ago, I wore it to work with a short-sleeved oxford shirt underneath it. The little white cuffs peeked out from underneath the sleeves, very cute, or at least I thought it was.

It was eaten by moths, I don't have it anymore.

Anyway, it was just a different style. I LOVE three-quarter length sleeves. so cute.

Doesn't work for me. If my arms and wrists are cold the rest of me is.

Bunbaker I agree with you, as I find three quarter sleeves useless. My whole arm has to be covered when it is chilly, otherwise I am cold.

I would say 90% of M&S clothes have three quarter sleeves, which puts me off buying their clothes.

YANBU, also add fingerless gloves to the list of pointless clothing. My fingers are the vast majority of my hand and are the main bit that gets cold
Having said that, DD has been given loads of sleeveless jumpers, so the poor thing is just going to have to deal with cold arms

Love short sleeve knits under suits or as alternative to T shirt. I always end up pushing sleeves up on ls jumpers

I wear one over a long sleeved top. I work indoors, in a school. Errr stops me getting too hot?! (Now not sure why I wear it but I love it!)

I prefer 3/4 length sleeves, long sleeves just get in the way. I also have orang-utan arms so long sleeves a rarely the correct length

YADNBU- I remember one year when every single clothes shop I went in had nothing but three quarter length jumpers and cardigans Really boiled my pee that did. There's absolutely no point, sod fashion I'm freezing!
