To want a bit more of an Autumn nip in the air

So fed up with this shite weather. All sweaty and sticky after walking home from work with lovely frizz from moisture in the air. I want a bit more refreshing crispness!

I want to save on the heating bills as long as possible.

I do. My dc have grown out of all their summery clothes, but have plenty of warmer ones that fit.

ReginaldBlinker · 02/10/2013 18:33

YANBU. I love autumn, and this one, so far, is crap. Could do with the trees changing colour as well!

MrsRajeshKoothrappali · 02/10/2013 18:35

I almost got hit on the head by a conker earlier.

Autumny enough for you?

Hmm Grin
KippyVonKipperson · 02/10/2013 18:38

Yrnbu

Freshlysqueezed · 02/10/2013 18:39

Yes trees need to change colour, conkers need to be dodged and I need to wear winter clothes and not have to unveil my pasty arms all the time!

I'm in 2 minds. Nearly 39 weeks pregnant and would love some cooler weather. However I can't wear any shoes other than my flip flops so am glad of the mildness really.

jacks365 · 02/10/2013 18:53

My heating is on and I need to do major clothes shopping this weekend for dd who is nearly 2 and needs lots of warmer clothes.. I'd like a few more weeks of warmth.

Tee2072 · 02/10/2013 18:55

Come to Belfast. Fucking freezing.

ReginaldBlinker · 02/10/2013 18:57

It's already snowing back home. Envy

ENormaSnob · 02/10/2013 19:25

Yadnbu

Floggingmolly · 02/10/2013 19:35

God, yes. The Virginia creeper on my back wall is turning that fabulous orange / gold colour; just isn't right with this clammy, sticky inbetweeny weather. I hate it.

shoofly · 02/10/2013 19:39

It's chucking it down. Its freezing and has been really dark all day - not impressed.

JerseySpud · 02/10/2013 19:39

YANBU

Bring it on!

brightnearly · 02/10/2013 19:43

YABU. Basking in last rays of sunshine before arctic weather sets in and everything will be more fuss and more uncomfortable... I think i will hibernate this year.

MrsDavidBowie · 02/10/2013 19:44

Yes indeed, bring it on!
I want to wear boots, scarves and be able to see my breath.

I don't know what to wear at the moment,

EvenBetter · 02/10/2013 19:44

Tee I'm 30 miles down the road, and while there's torrential rainstorms, its not cold! We still have our bedroom window open and we never have it open except during that ghastly heatwave in summer. It should be 10degrees now, maximum, I'm still a sweaty wreck

Tee2072 · 02/10/2013 19:47

Well, even my husband just got home and said 'it's chilly!' And our heat has kicked in.

Maybe I'll move 30 miles. Grin

EvenBetter · 02/10/2013 19:50

It's lovely down here Tee! I spent the past two days at work staring at the rolling waves (and necking cold tablets because that particular aspect of autumn has definitely kicked in!)

ginmakesitallok · 02/10/2013 19:51

Heating is on here too, raining and dark all day, oh and it's already dark outside. Winter can stay away as far as I'm concerned. (Some of the kids at nursery today arrived with hat/gloves on)

Mouthfulofquiz · 02/10/2013 19:51

Yes yes yes. I want to wear my new coat!!
