I loved it.

The cast, the script, the acting (except Lydia) everything.

YANBU. I loved it since Crazy 8 in season 1.

I have no idea what I'm going to watch now.

catgirl1976 · 01/10/2013 19:24

Oh squuuueee

I have ordered the 1st season from Amazon as I have never seen it and everyone says it is ace

Will I love it?

WestmorlandSausage · 01/10/2013 19:26

Lizzylou

1)Who in their right mind cancels Netflix
2) Netflix is a AMAZING deal at £6 a month

Lizzylou YABU!! Grin seriously though ... watch breaking bad!

DustBunnyFarmer · 01/10/2013 19:30

YANBU.

Another household which initially found it hard to get into, but it has repaid our initial perseverence in spades. You can get the first month's Netflix free - you could use that time to fill your boots & decide whether to continue after the first month.

DialsMavis · 01/10/2013 19:32

We are midway through series 2. We. have been watching 1 an evening , then upped it to 2..... Last night we watched 3.... It's getting out of control TBH Grin

PollyIndia · 01/10/2013 19:35

I watched series 1-4 before I got pregnant but the lobotomising nature if childbirth and having a newborn seems to have erased it all from my brain. So I am watching again from the beginning before I go in on series 5. Managed to avoid all spoilers thus far.
It's so so good, I forgot how good. Definitely up there with the wire and sopranos.

SouthernComforts · 01/10/2013 19:41

I don't know what to watch now either, I've seen Dexter. I watch Greys, Scandal etc already. Dithering between House, The Wire and The Mentalist..

I've just scrolled straight to comments, I love this programme. I'm at the half way point of Series 5 so scared to read about it anywhere incase there's spoilers.

Dreading when it's over!

PollyIndia · 01/10/2013 20:15

Southerncomforts you have to watch the wire. It's excellent.

mewmeow · 01/10/2013 20:26

Yanbu ! Grin just perfect all the way through, including ending! Only tinesy criticism would be not enough Jesse in the final series (but then I'm very biased on that Wink).

123rd · 01/10/2013 20:31

We have watched first two series and yeap - absolutely love it

Lizzylou · 01/10/2013 20:37

Westmorland, we just sort of got into fitness and reading . And then going out at weekends. Didn't need it.
Sorry Confused
We realised we had paid for a whole year and nit watched one thing, Internet tv etc.

FrillyMilly · 01/10/2013 20:43

It's is one of the best things I've ever watched. Most series take a little while to get going but the difference with Breaking bad is it stopped at the right time. It's left us wanting more unlike things like lost and dexter which sort of limped out. I love the attention to detail like the colours people wear and the cinematography (I hope that's the right word) is beautiful.

IamSlave · 01/10/2013 20:47

Yes BB is utterly fabulous.

Great story, fantastic and very interesting how WW wife starts out as dowdy, no expressions, very quiet family barely talking round the table, very dissaproving and she is nigh on full gangsters molll

IamSlave · 01/10/2013 20:47

Wire is next.

Is wire even better?

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 01/10/2013 20:50

I'm completely hooked!

I'm just at the start of series 3 so I'm deliberately not reading this thread in case there are spoilers.

In our house it's called The Very Naughty Chemistry Teacher Grin

CombineBananaFister · 01/10/2013 20:57

Am on the final part of series 5 - love it. Am almost addicted to it, and initially had no interest, would doze on the sofa with DH whilst he watched it because I was knak'd and got hooked. Walt - love him, hate him, love him aargghh. Also v.v.v. disapointed with Dexter should av stopped with Trinity killer Sad

DustBunnyFarmer · 01/10/2013 21:00

The Wire is great, but a different beast. Some of our friends we've lent our boxsets to have struggled to get their ear in with the Baltimore street slang. If you find yourself struggling to keep up to start off with, watching with subtitles for the first couple of episodes helps. It's not the kind of telly you can only half watch & surf the web at the same time. Hits on rivals can be ordered with a mere comment or nod. As with BB, your attention is rewarded many times over though - definitely worth it.

jamdonut · 01/10/2013 21:01

Don't know, never seen it.Smile

JessePinkmansBitch · 01/10/2013 21:04

YASNBU! I loved it, and fell a little bit in love with Jesse. Blush Hence my name. Grin I love how the characters progressed throughout the seasons, and you were still rooting for Walt despite everything.

jamdonut · 01/10/2013 21:06

And Dexter was just weird. My husband liked and insisted on watching that. I didn't enjoy it.

Also never watched the Wire.

Liked all the CSI's and Law and Order's,Criminal Minds, Bones, and more recently,The Returned.

SouthernComforts · 01/10/2013 21:08

Love your name JPB! I feel a BB nanechange coming on!

OP posts:
Treadlightly · 01/10/2013 21:13

Yes yes yes i love breaking bad!!

I haven't watched the last episode yet - cant bear the thought of it all being over Sad

The wire is brilliant!! You'll learn lots of new excellent swear words!

I don't know what I'm gonna watch when it's all over, might have to start homeland?

ubik · 01/10/2013 21:17

I loved Lydia!

Also loved BB although needed brandy to get me through last episodes.

My only criticism is that it became unremittingly grim around season 4 but I am in awe of the writing and the editing and the wide open blue skies of Albuquerque.

Loved Saul. He was my favourite.

DoNotTellMeWhatToDo · 01/10/2013 21:19

I think I know you Southern Comforts. Grin
