To want to know where all the gas ovens have gone??

DH and I moved house recently and we need a new oven, as the current one makes an odd roaring noise when the grill is used and also the seals on the door have gone so badly that last night DH actually sat on the floor holding the door closed whilst our dinner cooked.

I told him we'd laugh about it one day.....

Anyhow we are looking for a gas oven, but there only seem to be three brands available, most reviews (eg Which) are pretty uninspiring, and they all seem much smaller than electric ovens.

I always thought most people in this country had gas ovens, but AIBU to think it's quite hard to find a decent one now?

Gas fan oven here and my cakes are bloody marvellous. :)

If you have an induction hob I thought you need to buy all special saucepans as normal pans won't work?

Had it 6 months and I'm really pleased with it

I would love gas. I grew up with a gas oven and the wonderful eye level grill, moved to the sticks where there is no mains gas and have to put up with shitty electric. A gas oven cooks so much better than electric.

I was going to purchase a candy one, but I will have a look at CDA.
