He's fucked his Achilles' tendon up. Can weight bear but only flat footed and he can't flex his foot - all signs it's ruptured.

He's being a man about it and insisting nothing is wrong even though he's almost crying in pain

No, you're not. I know someone who snapped theirs and had to have an unpleasant operation and many weeks of physio. Get him off to a doctor to get it looked at...

My dh damaged his Achilles playing football on a Thursday evening, drove to work Friday and it was only on Friday evening that he decided that he needed to go to A&E. His Achilles was torn and he was in plaster up to his thigh, then quite a few weeks in a leg splint. They mentioned an op but he made the decision not to have it done.

I think your DH should defnitely have it looked at

My dh has a huge inverted mole on his leg that has cracked and started weeping. He really needs to see someone but he's 'too busy'. I think I'm going to bind his hands and feet and drag him out to the car, the fuckwit. Hmm

No you are not unreasonable. That sounds serious. He needs to see a doctor. If he won't listen to you could you have someone else talk to him about it?

BillyBanter · 29/09/2013 00:47

Tell him mumsnet will come round and make him go if he doesn't go himself.

He went, or says he went, and says he has tendonitis. Since when did tendonitis make your ankle swell to over twice its size??

Anyway, he's been told to keep it moving and keep walking on it, which is fine, if he could...
