to let (or not) my good friend read erotica I have written?

Oh,cringe at the thread title.
On a recent night out, my friend and I got to talking about 50 Shades of Grey and basically how crap the writing was and we didn't know what all the fuss was about. I drunkenly stupidly said that I had written some erotica years ago when Dh (before we were married) and I had a long distance relationship in different countries so I used to write filthy intimate letters to him which evolved into stories.
My friend now has a bee in her bonnet about wanting to read them! I laughed it off and tried to divert conversation away but its her birthday next week and when I asked if there's anything she would like she said "yes,a copy of your stories! "
Would you let your friend read them? We are very very close and she is my 'best' friend but it just seems a bit...icky?!
WWYD?

no tell her to fuck off cheeky mare

Gerbilectomy · 26/09/2013 16:07

No. Put them on Amazon and let her buy them.

newestbridearound · 26/09/2013 16:08

When I was in a long distance relationship with my DH I used to write similar letters (badly, most likely!) and there is not a hope in hell I'd let anyone read them. If you find the idea icky then I'd go with your instincts and say no.

aleene · 26/09/2013 16:09

You are perfectly in your rights to say no. She should not harass you. However she may think you are talented and positive feedback is a great thing.

just post them on fanfiction.net so we can all read them

guiltyconscience · 26/09/2013 16:10

No way yadnbu this is just creepy and too too intrusive does she 'fancy' you or your hubbs I wonder ? EEEKKKKKKKK just no!

myroomisatip · 26/09/2013 16:13

I would not. Mainly because I would treasure the intimacy of sharing them with my DH, I wouldn't dream of shattering that intimacy.

sophiedaal · 26/09/2013 16:14

Of course not. Unless she and her husband have a sex tape you fancy a look at too?

[mind bleach]

It'd be different if you'd written something independently and were thinking of publishing/getting opinions, but now you've told her they're inspired by personal letters then it's a bit... tmi.

A casual friend of mine started sending me erotic fanfic about a band we both like. It was so awkward because she wanted feedback. I don't really like stories that feature band members having sex with each other. I know it's a pretty big thing these days, but I don't get it!

LoopThePoop · 26/09/2013 16:36

Oh god no, tell her forget it. They are for DH's eyes only.
Or blame your DH and say he didn't want to share it!

Knock up a parody one and see what she says.

"...as Mungo's love nozzle chafed its way across her unshaven inner thigh towards her impressive bush, Jemima gazed idly at the ceiling and wondered if installing an aubergine bathroom would be considered 'retro cool' or simply outdated."
