Just heard 'Scofe' use this on This Morning. Ok so it is a legitimate word according to online dictionary but I still find it annoying. Why not say tolerance?

I know I'm bu, but it's use makes my teeth itch.

Tolerance has too many syllables in, people like things dumbed down and the tv has a lot to answer for in this respect.

We can be unreasonable together - I think it sounds really clunky.

Toleration normally means official recognition of a group, whereas tolerance generally is much wider. I'd be annoyed as well!
