AIBU to be worried that a payment made to me by mobile banking can be reversed like a PayPal payment can be ?
I have just received a payment made to my mobile phone number ,all which i agreed to, for something I was selling.
Payment has been made but now i am panicking a little that if the buyer doesn't like the item , she could somehow reverse the payment .or is it a case if when it reaches my bank account , then there is no way of claiming it back?

I thought it's an online transfer, which the payerdid on their phone instead of their computer - so not reversible. What makes you think otherwise?

I believe that online payments are non reversible without legal intervention (such as fraud, theft etc). Once it is in your account then there it stays.

If it is paid by paypal and you have authorised your card and account then it can be reversed as they can take the payment from your card or account, but they have to fulfil certain conditions in order to do so and you do get warning.

I have an account that I use for anything online. It never has more than £5 in it and doesnt have an overdraft, whenever I need to pay for something online I transfer the money in from my main account to cover it. I also transfer money straight out if it has been paid in by say paypal. I feel that this is the best way to keep safe from online fraud and theft, so maybe you could do the same. I have to admit that I really wouldnt be happy using my main account online. This was confirmed to me as the right thing to do when I found someone had hacked into my Tesco online shopping account (yes, really!) and tried to order several hundred pounds worth of white goods with my saved card details (from my "safe" account) which I cancelled straight away just in case. took me several weeks to get my clubcard points sorted though.
