1am and i've just been woken up by him having a drunken 'epidode' AGAIN! He is an alcoholic, none of the family work and i have to listen to this screaming, shouting and banging at least once a week. I'm 30 weeks pregnant, just been signed off work for a week due to uti and feeling dizzy and faint a lot, i have uni work coming of of my ass, i NEED sleep! I'll be going round there if he doesn't shut it and give him something to scream for!!'

Hmmm... which story should we listen to first?

You send a pretty confused message.

If you want a result then Police can't do much but the council can - call social services and ask for help. There is far more help available than most people realise. If you are in council accommodation a lot can happen in your favour.

MiniMonty, plenty of people work and study at the same time, why the scepticism? And yes, call the council! And keep a diary of all the incidents.

What's so confusing? People can do more than one thing!

I would try the police but also the council. It's hard to get anywhere but I'd avoid going roind yourself.

Why pick apart her private life? She put on that she works & is off sick & studying to emphasize how tired she is, not so you could call her on it. Jeez...

And also, did you even think that perhaps her Uni work is tied to her day job?

I know quite a few people who are full time workers & go to college/Uni for work based reasons.

The police won't do much

They'll prob just tell you to ring environmental health who again won't do much

I've been in your position and it's awful we moved to get away from it tbh

Mini I was studying right through my pregnancy, I was having contractions in one lecture and had an exam scheduled 8 days post partum. It's not unusual.
