to wonder what people do when their children don't get offered any school place or one that is unsuitable? Homeschooling?

I'm just wondering what happens these days to people whose children do not get offered any school place at all or one that is at a failing school/a school that is far away and impractical to get to? Do they homeschool?

This must be something that is happening more and more? Is there a bigger homeschooling network now because of this? Will homeschooling become as popular here as it is in the States?

I suppose some people will homeschool, some will use private school, some will appeal, and some will make the best out of an unsuitable place by changing their arrangements to make it less unsuitable.
