...To want to eat my baby?

My 5 month old is just...too much. He's becoming worryingly cute. I am DANGEROUSLY close to full on chowing down on one of his chubby lil' ham hock legs. Sprinkling a bit of seasoning on there, perhaps adding a thyme garnish and having a good old nosh. Anyone else ever feel the same?

My 16month old DD is dinky, but she has these massive chubby and dimpley thighs right at the top where they meet her bum. They're too gorgeous for words. God help her when she's naked as all I want to do is squeeze them and kiss them.

Mmmm she's delicious Smile

OverAndAbove · 26/09/2013 20:28

Awww!

It's never worn off for me - my 7yo DD has always been skinny as a rake but I still sometimes want to gnaw on her little peachy face; it's so smooth. I think of that scene in Madagascar where Alex the lion somehow ends up chewing on Marty the zebra and envisages chewing on a steak...

Today when I went to kiss her goodbye in the classroom I saw her roll her eyes at her friend. Gutted!

AintNobodyGotTimeFurThat · 26/09/2013 20:58

Definitely NBU.

My 6 month old is good enough to eat.

I cry when I look at her too.

Wonderstuff · 26/09/2013 21:08

I mentioned this thread to DH whose reaction was 'what, eww, thats weird' I wonder if this is a mums only thing or if my DH is a bit odd to get it?

DD (5) didn't even kiss me goodbye today - just waved Sad

mmmdonuts · 26/09/2013 21:13

I had fat bracelets as a baby and the marks are still on my arms Confused like long, stretched out dimples.

Is that normal?

mmmdonuts · 26/09/2013 21:13

I'm quite skinny now BTW but the marks are still there!

Bue · 26/09/2013 21:15

YANBU. I still remember trying to get my 4 year old sister's chub into my mouth when I was 7. It was just too much for me. She was SO CUTE!

BopsX3 · 26/09/2013 21:17

Awww everybody loves a gnaw on their baby Grin I think it's the 'baby smell' and their chubbiness

I tell DS1 & 2 that I'm going to put DS3 on a butty and eat him for my dinner and they both have horrified looks on their faces and stand between me and DS3 shouting "no mum don't eat our brother!" Hahaha Grin

MalcolmTuckersMistress · 26/09/2013 21:20

My youngest is three, and he has the squidgiest, peachy bum cheeks ever. He knows this and even teases me by yelling "squidgy my bum cheeks!"

He has the cutest dimples ever and an absolutely hilarious sense of humour. Sometimes I have to just scoop him up and kiss him all over! He is getting heavy now though. No so easy to manoeuvre now he's turning into a big boy.Sad

My oldest DS is 8 and his bum has no squidge left...it's just older hoy muscle, and my 5 yo DD is built like a whippet.

JollySleepyGiant · 26/09/2013 21:20

My baby is only 5 weeks old. She's not got that chubby legs and arms but she's got a double chin Grin

I could snuffle her neck all day long.

My toddler is not so edible. But still wonderful.

Ledkr · 26/09/2013 21:20

My dd thought it hilarious today when she ran into my room naked and saw I was too. We did the naked dance together.
I was disturbed to notice our bodies looked fairly similar.
Fat tummy sticky out bottom chubby legs! Hmm

Smartiepants79 · 26/09/2013 21:26

My DD (9months)thinks its hilarious when I try to eat her fingers. She loves to bite people's noses especially her dads. He has a big nose!
I just love the bit at the back of their necks. Mmmm snuffles.

ElectricalBanana · 26/09/2013 21:35

I could still eat my two dds

They are 21 and 26!

But my real thing is sniffing babies heads! All babies get the aunty bananas sniff of approval. The smell, the feeling of little warm downy heads on my top lip makes me melt.

I think I am strange

absentmindeddooooodles · 26/09/2013 21:35

Ds is 2 and has THE cutest little bum. But I now get told off if I try to sneak a quick nibble or squidge.

tiggerpigger · 26/09/2013 22:27

This thread is seriously disturbing

PirateJelly · 26/09/2013 23:17

I was telling DS (4) the other day about how when he was newborn I used to lick his head like a mother cat licks her kittens, even making his floppy head move with each lick Blush very animalistic.

Anyway DS says " go on then mummy do it again" I told him not to be daft but he insisted so I licked the side of his head, (as you do) he was absolutely thrilled and told me that was better than a dummy ever was (which he still misses) and made him sleepy and cuddly. Sufice to say he asks to be licked every bedtime now and complains if his hair isn't wet enough Hmm I thought massaging his foot and tickling his hand every evening was bad enough Grin I'm just glad to see this is a natural thing to do, I certainly feel very mother lion and cub when I do it Grin

PirateJelly · 26/09/2013 23:21

Or maybe I'm just weird Grin

Morloth · 27/09/2013 00:51

It is probably leftover from before we evolved hands.

Mouths are so sensitive and we get a lot of stimulus from them so it makes sense to want to put them on the babies!

utopian99 · 27/09/2013 06:49

I totally get the baby nibbling urge; ds (9 months today) gets it from both of us and finds it hilarious.

Dh also tends to lick me in a fit of mischievous affection Hmm I've told him time and again this is uncalled for, but he goes on.. I asked once if he did this to all girlfriends and he said no 'because I didn't love them as much.' It's llike being married to a puppy.
