To think that the only thing to do with the huge box of Lego that you have just bought from the local boot fair...

Is to tip it all out on the floor when you get home and play with it as if you were 7 again while ds (who is only 14 months old so too young to appreciate it anyway) has his nap?

Or should we be zapping it with detol in the bath and then putting it away until ds IS old enough to appreciate it, as suggested by dh who insisted on buying it because, "it'll never be this cheap again"?

Sort it all into colours/sizes/etc!

StupidFlanders · 15/09/2013 12:55

A then B! It takes ages to dry.

NoelHeadbands · 15/09/2013 12:55

I'd be the one doing a victory dance around the living room after selling the box of Lego.

Horrible stuff Grin

Play with it!!!! My DH would be in his element he would have been over the moon!! My DD is 6 months and we have to go into the Lego shop, Possibly part of his reasoning to have children!!

DoJo · 15/09/2013 12:56

I think a combination of the two would be appropriate - play with it till you're all lego-ed out then put it away until either your son is older or you want to have another go...

OctopusWrangler · 15/09/2013 12:57

Play! Then sort, wash.

Then play again!

burberryqueen · 15/09/2013 12:59

just don't leave any of those one spot pieces on the floor then kneel on it....

McNewPants2013 · 15/09/2013 13:00

I would even wash it, empty and enjoy

LEMisdisappointed · 15/09/2013 13:03

[Envy] that is all

MousyMouse · 15/09/2013 13:03

I would put it in an old pillow case, wool cycle. then on a towel to dry over night.

and then PLAY

(have bought a few kilos on ebay and they smelt of smoke and damp shed so they needed a wash)

elcranko · 15/09/2013 13:05

Play, wash, play again Smile

SillyTilly123 · 15/09/2013 13:17

I got 2 huge joblots from ebay a few years ago, but had to wash it before playing with it Blush

lljkk · 15/09/2013 13:25

Dettol? Seriously? It will get mixed with your own dust mite feces soon enough.

carameldecaflatte · 15/09/2013 13:34

I've made a brilliant car-type-thingy and dh (who has seen sense) has made a house-type-thingy and I'm now putting heads on minifigures. There are minifigures! Grin

Thanks for the pillowcase tip Mousy. But lljkk, dh couldn't care less about our own germs, bugs, mites etc. It's "theirs" he worries about!
