To tell them to bugger off???

Due in 13 days with FB. IL's are abroad but keep texting (between 4 and 8 times per day) to ask 'Any twinges yet?' Complained (yes I am hormonal and unreasonable) to my mum and best friend that they've been asking this for 6 weeks now, they think its hilarious and have joined in with the daily twinge updates request!

Would it be totally unreasonable or me to tell them to bugger off and baby will arrive when it's good and ready???? They have all started to text/phone each other if I don't reply because they've convinced themselves I'm in bloody labour!!!!

i understand your frustration - i had the same thing
i snapped and just gave my mobile to my husband for the few weeks before dd was born, i just couldn't cope with the constant questions
maybe ditch the mobile?

Tell your ILs that if they want any updates between now and the birth then they are to contact your DH, not you. They're his parents, let him deal with them.

I can go weeks without speaking to my MIL as we're not close. When I was getting close to having her grandchild, however, she started ringing me every single day asking if anything was happening. It drove me mental. I started ignoring the phone so she'd call my DH instead. He got so pissed of phone calls all day while he was working that he told her to back off and that he'd let her know as soon as there was any news. Great, because I didn't have to tell her to sod off myself then Grin

Just don't reply. They'll all tizz for a day or two assuming you're in labour, then eventually will call your DH who'll explain you're not. After a couple of days they'll give up.
