To hate noisy eating?

My OH cannot eat quietly and I can't stand the noise. He has just had a curly wurly and I'm surprised the noise didn't break the sound barrier!

I have asked him nicely to close his mouth while eating but he claims he does.

He also talks very loudly on the phone, he doesn't actually need a phone he talks so loudly

And now he is slurping his cup of tea.

Arrrrrrgh

I loathe loathe loathe it. I also frankly am a bit judgy about people who do it. I used to sit next to a guy at work who ate with his mouth open and it was so loud and unpleasant. He was an otherwise really nice guy who I had a lot of respect for but I used to have to think of excuses to walk away when he started eating.
I just can't understand why people don't get how disgusting and how much of an imposition this is...

My DS is 14 and I love him with all my soul he is the funniest nicest person I know but I wish he would eat in the shed. I say to him just keep your lips closed but that must be too difficult

YAdefinitelyNBA! I cannot stand noisy eaters, it gives me the rage. It's up there with cracking knuckles and breathing too loudly (I think I am maybe a little too intolerant!)

iv been told im quite laid back and it take alot to make me explode. but noisey eaters give me the rage.

i see red and i want to actually stab them.. i can not state how much it gives me the rage.

Eating a noisy biscuit and slurps tea sorrrrrrry!!

Noisy eaters put me off my food.

Slurpy salivary chewing is the most revolting thing in the world. I can deal with people eating their own bogeys over that.

My mother with a boiled egg or a bowl of cornflakes is enough to make me fast for 3 days!

That reminds me of a stand up I saw years ago on TV. It was a woman but I cant for the life of me remember who it was, she said something along the lines of how when you first get together with someone you are totally entranced by everything they do. Fast foward 10 years and you say "FFS, will you just STOP BREATHING!!!!" and I totally understood what she meant :o

Oh, thank god it's not just me with noisy breathing!
