To think that the Sofas at Costa and Starbucks, are full of people being paid to sit tree all day?

Because, I have never ever managed to sit on one, in any of their outlets. Ever. There is always someone else sat on them....and it pees me off

Cant you camp out over night and when it opens, run in and roll around on the sofa?

You should put your towel on one and then saunter off to Sainsbury's to do your shopping. If anyone is sitting there when you come back you can throw a strop and insist you 'reserved' it.

The counter staff give you a password to give to the sofa guards if they think you're worthy. You're obviously not ready for that level of coffee culture yet.

Haha if we see one we run to it! I sat on one to feed my baby and got so many disgusted looks by people who wanted it! My partner and little girl were on their way, honest

Ha ha, will try the towel idea. However by the law of averages I should be able to get one occasionally. I have been using these places for about 10 years, and have never got one of the 5 sofas, or any of the squashy chairs either. I always have to sit on the rickety chair a la "The Young Ones" ( only very old people will understand this reference).

It's true. These people are paid to sit at a comfy 4 - 6 seat station with their laptop and empty cup for 5 hour stints; especially during the morning/lunchtime rush.

How they can listen to the same 6 songs on a loop for so long amazes me!
