To eat mince with a use by date of yesterday?

I completely forgot I had a pack of mince in the fridge which needed to be used yesterday. It's still the same colour and doesn't smell funny, do you think it'd be fine to eat it?

Yes. I go by smell.

DoJo · 04/09/2013 19:00

Yes - sure it will be fine!

Fry it off and recheck for normal smell. Works for pork and chicken.

Pobblewhohasnotoes · 04/09/2013 19:16

I wouldn't make burgers with it, but quite happy for it to be made into bolognese sauce or cottage pie.

Thanks everyone.

I've fried it off and it still smells fine and looks fine so making it into a bolognese sauce, hopefully it will taste okay.
