To cancel this order?

DS needed body armour for rugby and some rugby shorts. I found some online (well known discount sports firm). My mum had mentioned that she wanted golf gloves so I ordered some for her, she said she wanted winter ones too.

I noted that the winter ones would be available in November, but pre-ordered them as that was fine for her. DS needs rugby stuff for Sunday is paid extra for next day delivery. All done I thought.

Tonight I get an email saying none of the order will arrive until November, as 1 item will arrive then. Still charging extra for next day delivery!

I have emailed saying I want it all cancelled, even though the delivery note states I can't alter the order after it reaches the picking stage (1 hour after order). I reckon it won't have been picked yet as it won't be shipped for 2 more months! I have also said I intend to order from another firm which allows delivery to be split in these cases.

Yes, not a huge problem...but AIBU to think this is a stupid way to organise an online order?

Yanbu. Idiots. Is the company who have no numbers to call? I hear horror stories about them.

Assume SD as i had same problem, one item not in stock so whole order had to wait till it arrived to be shipped and I couldn't cancel that one item (i had ordered lots) i had to cancel the whole order then reorder the items I wanted which were in stock, ridiculous

Yep, that's the company! Glad you mentioned that they have no number to call, I thought I was being stupid when I couldn't find one.

I guess that explains why the stuff is cheaper than everywhere else!
