To think size 12 is not "heavy"

I keep seeing comments on here from people who are size 10/12 who think they are heavy. I would never think this is even remotely heavy, just a healthy slim size.

have to agree the bra experts are fab! I was wearing a 34-36 back even though my under bust is 30" i always added the 4-5 inches on as per shop advice, I couldn't get a good fitting 30 back though so went with a 32DD and the difference was outstanding and that's probably still too big!
I measure 29 under now and my bra is riding up and gaping so may have to assess again!

TrucksAndDinosaurs · 01/09/2013 20:55

Calm down dear.

TrucksAndDinosaurs · 01/09/2013 20:56

(That was at PinUpGirl)

BlingBang · 01/09/2013 20:56

But my 36B looks and feels good (wanders off shaking head and muttering)!

Talkinpeace · 01/09/2013 20:56

Note to self : before buying new bras (as current ones are shot) must take advice from the clever helpful posters !

SorrelForbes · 01/09/2013 20:59

BlingBang Have a scoop, go on! The thing is that a 36B is the same cup volume as a 32D so you're not that far out cup wise. However, you'd get more support from a 32 back and the proportions would be better for your shape/size.

The sizes have become much more generous than in the 60s.
size 10 was bust 32" waist 22" hips 34". Size 12 was bust 34", waist 24", hips 36".

Now my waist is 29", bust 36" and hips 36" and am a size 8 and 5'2" Was an old size 10. < Hmm waist increased by 7 ", but bust 4" and hips only 2"Confused

BlingBang · 01/09/2013 21:10

Right, trying to scoop but not sure I'm doing it right as there doesn't seem to by much spare fleshy bits. Will try a 32EE though next time as I'm curious.

digerd · 01/09/2013 21:12

Dr said my BMI is 20, but I have lost a lot of muscle as I am older and the bit of flesh I have is wibbly-wobbly. Much preferred my youthful muscular and firm fleshed body at 7stone 9.Sad < was 7stone 10 at drs, but still got my flabby midriff bulge - so this BMI thing is Hmm as far as I'm concerned>
Have to fatten myself up he said. So just going to eat another piece of chocolate cake Grin

PiddlingWeather · 01/09/2013 21:17

Oh I'm intrigues by my bra wrongness now.

I have a big broad ribcage and shoulders the school rugby captain would be proud of, does that back a difference?

Lead to to the light!

pokes at boobs in confused manner

PiddlingWeather · 01/09/2013 21:17

*make a difference, not back a difference

BlingBang · 01/09/2013 21:24

This thread has given me a bit of a kick up the bum though. Bugger dress size but I've just measured my waist and hips for the first time in years and it's not great according to those sites linked earlier. Just verging into the unhealthy with a size 32/33" waist - even if am a size 12.

Talkinpeace · 01/09/2013 21:27

Blibgband
well done on you for checking .... come join us in the alternate reality that is 5:2 (live life but not be overweight for your frame)

hettienne · 01/09/2013 21:28

Piddling - measure tightly under your boobs for your band size, and then bra off, lean forward and measure round your boobs. The difference is cup size.

So, someone 30 around the under boob and 33 around the boobs is a 30C (difference of 3 inches). 34 below and 39 over is a 34DD.

PiddlingWeather · 01/09/2013 21:38

I'm just under 34 for underboob and 39 round my boobs, though I got confused at the nipples

God,that can't be right can it? I did it with a bodytape and everything

SorrelForbes · 01/09/2013 21:45

Piddling. Try a 34DD/E and a 32E/F

PiddlingWeather · 01/09/2013 21:47

Thanks, I will :)

Can't believe it. Was an A cup for years then had a sort of second puberty when I was 20 or so

SorrelForbes · 01/09/2013 21:50

Those sizes above really aren't as big, cup wise, as you might think!

PiddlingWeather · 01/09/2013 21:53

Yes, I've been having a Google and they look quite reasonable on a lot of women.

It's just the thought of me having 'double Ds' It'll take a while..Grin

Who is Miley Cyrus?

RussiansOnTheSpree · 01/09/2013 23:30

If I was going to make just one post ever on an Internet forum I'd probably not make it an unintelligible frothtastic ramble.

Although actually I suppose that might be fun......FSV fun anyway

AnyoneButLulu · 01/09/2013 23:36

I'm a witch and a disgrace to womankind.

TrucksAndDinosaurs · 01/09/2013 23:37
