Am I going mental or is my dp playing some kind if mind game with me??

After weeks of complaining about my sons behaviour and saying I do nothing to keep him under control (in particular his disrespect of our house) dp has just been encouraging ds to bat badminton shuttlecocks at the bathroom window. One of which came in and knocked a new ornament I'd bought into the toilet. The pair of them are in stitches over it. If that had been me encouraging that kind if behaviour he'd have gone fucking mental. I tell ds over and over again not to chuck stuff at the windows. Why bother??? Or am I overreacting??

I think you DP has been showing you how he feels about your sons behaviour Giving you a taste of your own medicine if you like

Icelollycraving · 26/08/2013 20:12

This sounds really familiar. Has this happened before?

onepieceoflollipop · 26/08/2013 20:14

How is your dp usually, is he prone to playing "mind games"?

SusuwatariToes · 26/08/2013 20:16

I don't know if he's playing a game but it seems as though he's being very thoughtless. He probably just doesn't see the connection or the double standards.

RenterNomad · 26/08/2013 20:19

Did you say anything, or just seethe?

MrsLouisTheroux · 26/08/2013 20:23

Idiot.

MrsLouisTheroux · 26/08/2013 20:23

I'm with lilyliz.

If you can't beat them, join them is probably what he's saying.

AnneUulmelmahay · 26/08/2013 20:58

Oh dear

How old is DS and is DP his father?

YouStayClassySanDiego · 26/08/2013 21:04

You complain about this twat a lot.

HE'S A DICKHEAD!!. and rubbish at parenting your ds.

Stop being such a doormat and get rid if this prick.

YouStayClassySanDiego · 26/08/2013 21:07

Yes he is playing mind games.

Will you take note if what people say??

ChasedByBees · 26/08/2013 21:11

Have you said this to him directly? You need to.

ILetHimKeep20Quid · 26/08/2013 21:13

Ornaments in the bathroom? Oh my giddy days.

Revengeofkarma · 26/08/2013 22:14

Well, that explains the behaviour problems. He'd go mental, and yet encourages your son to do it, breaks things and thinks its hysterical.

DTMFA. You and your son will be the better for it.
