But spend their whole fucking time uploading pictures of themselves and the same fucking people in the same fucking poses over and over again to fucking Facebook?!

Does my fucking head in Grin

Someome on mine is doing it tonight, round at her friends for drinks and in the few hours she has been there she has posted... 43 pictures and 1 video.

Are people like this trying to prove something to others? Or are they just that far up their own arses that they think we are all sitting anxiously on the end of our seats waiting for the next picture of them getting pissed in their mates back yard, in bad lighting with half of their head chopped off the picture?

I feel much better after that Grin g'wan, tell me IABU Wink

It's so that when they stagger from their pit tomorrow tea time, head pounding and knees wobbling, and think "now what the actual Jeff did I get up to last night?" they can look it all up on FB.
It's when there's nothing posted to their page that they need to worry...

i was on a first aid course yesterday and there were two women doing this! at a first aid course! phone out within 3 minutes of arriving, both of them leaned in for a pose, snap, look at photo, "oh no- take that again", lean, pose, snap, look, giggle, "that's going on FB"

why?

Grin exactly!

It's madness. And no I'm not jealous before someome pipes up, I've plenty of pictures on my phone of nights out I barely remember, but I just don't get why I would ever need to inflict these upon people on facebook...

Fair enough upload them all the next day if you really feel we are missing out on not seeing them. But to go out, take picture, sit uploading and tagging people and talking to people on the comments that you are actually at the party with...!

The mind boggles.

Are they tweeting too? That's another one. Trivia in real time, what is the point?

NeedlesCuties · 26/08/2013 06:56

Yep, I know people like this. Drives me batty.

It's the way people always do the same pose/smile that gets me! Endless albums of frozen face left foot in front of right hips tilted slightly away Hmm

Lweji · 26/08/2013 07:08

Because it's easy.

I always think if they were having that good a time, they would be too busy enjoying themselves to be messing around on fb.

People like to show off, they want others to think their lives are brilliant all the time, even when they are not and they seek validation through social media.

I have a friend who is constantly posting pics of herself being supermum and I think she should just let her kids play instead of constantly interrupting them, so she can take a pic and put it on fb!

buildingmycorestrength · 26/08/2013 16:23

I've pretty much abandoned FB now and feel much better. Love MN tho. Grin

ExitPursuedByABear · 26/08/2013 16:26

Instagram is worse. My dd uploaded a picture of the horse trailer taken from the back seat of the car whilst going to pony club camp, and 15 people have 'liked' it. Why?

Dackyduddles · 26/08/2013 16:26

She feels misguidedly cool fun young and fab to be around and wants to be liked and everyone to be jealous of her. Or she's riahnna.

More likely a than b I'm guessing

BrokenSunglasses · 26/08/2013 16:34

YANBU.

I have had a running commentary on my friends visit to Reading festival since Friday. If I paid enough attention I could probably tell you exactly what bands she has seen on which stage, where her tent is and just about every person she has spoken to.

I don't even understand how she has enough battery on her phone to take and post so many pictures, just get on and enjoy the bloody festival!

Sparklingbrook · 26/08/2013 16:43

Oh and the tagging yourself at places. Like the local rough pub or the Toby Carvery. Confused We don't need to know that.
