AIBU to want an evening to myself totally alone!?!

25 weeks pregnant and had very little sleep after being woken at 2am and being kept awake until 4:30 by my stupid lodgers incessant drunken blabber to the random 'friend' he invited over to stay at our house, without asking (have had a moan about him before!). Woken up at 9 by DP going to 'feed to the cat' wait up for him to come back to bed for a chill and cuddles but he doesn't, go downstairs to find him playing bloody batman on the Xbox and KNOW he's been smoking in the back garden even though he's 'given up', but if course his stupid lodger buddy is back and smokes so that's gone out of the window ...THEN DPs dad shows up to help with some DIY (Very grateful for his help so not moaning about that part!), is still here and its very noisy though, so no de-crimping nap possible. He has just said he will take us straight round to DPs parents for dinner as soon as he's finished and DP has now decided he will be playing football tonight so that means I get to sit around like a lemon with DPs mum, nan and uncle ( who granted are lovely but are not a chatty bunch) whilst he's out until they get back, we eat then get dropped off here probably gone 9. Working tomorrow too so no bank hol Monday. Sad

AIBU to just hide under my bed ( ha that's a laugh, as if I'd currently fit!) and pretend I've vanished as I just want my house to myself but damn lodger would still be here anyway monopolizing the living room!

P.S, I know I prob AM BU but I'm blaming pregnancy hormones causing me to feel irrational hatred for all noises/people and things in general.

So don't GO for dinner...simple. Tell them you're feeling sick.

everythinghippie29 · 25/08/2013 15:49

But his dad has been here all day and knows I am in fact NOT sick. Bleh. I will just have to suck it up won't I! Smile

You don't need to be "feeling sick" - just tell the truth; you're tired.

everythinghippie29 · 25/08/2013 15:55

Like I say, if I stay here in stuck in with my lodger anyway. I suppose at least I don't have to cook tea if we go out! I already feel better for ranting it out anyway...

You are old enough to be having a baby, you are old enough to say no to something.
Just say you feel very tired and will be stating at home having a nap.
It really is that simple.
