7 year old ds put his brand new shoes on for school on Tuesday. They were both still on when he returned. Sometime between then and approx 8.30am Wednesday one mysteriously disappeared. There have been no reported sightings.

you need a shoe box/shelf where they are put without fail

have you looked under beds, in boy boxes, bin, behind sofas, behind doors

do you have a dog?!

HorryIsUpduffed · 23/08/2013 18:45

Under the sofa? I always find shoes under the sofa even though they're supposed to live in a cupboard by the front door.

By the loo?

Offer a reward to all family members and see who finds it first.

I once found a brand new pair of school shoes out on the lawn one morning. A fox had used them for chewing practice!

trinity0097 · 23/08/2013 19:28

I thought from your title it had broken! Hope you manage to find it!

NotintheMiddle · 23/08/2013 20:27

I swear I have looked everywhere. Shoe rack in the front porch is where shoes belong, but the shoes don't often manage to walk there by themselves unfortunately...

We have a dog, but, despite being a 1 year old Lab, she doesn't chew shoes (rose bushes are a different story)

I will offer a reward tomorrow.

Has he hidden one?
(Speaking from personal experience :( )

Amy106 · 23/08/2013 21:04

Please let us know if it gets found and where. Good luck with the hunt! Smile

Found it! It had cunningly disguised itself as a..... SHOE!

We have been getting some plumbing work done and had removed a box of shoes from the cupboard and put them in the shed. This was BEFORE the shoe went missing.

Today I got the box from the shed to put back in the cupboard and there was the shoe! I must have walked past it so many times and not seen through its cunning disguise :D

Also during my searches I came across another of his missing shoes in the undergrowth flowerbed beside the trampoline.

Hiding in plain sight! That is the worst kind of thing to find as it just becomes invisible.

coco27 · 02/09/2013 12:20

have you got a trampoline? That is where I always found missing shoes. They have taken them off for a bounce and then forgotten about them

Ezio · 02/09/2013 12:47

My DD lost a shoe at school, didnt get found for 5 months, then it was found, under a pile of stuff, in the classroom.
