To think no matter what your figure, you shouldn't wear virtually see through leggings over a g-string?

I frankly don't care what clothes anyone chooses to wear, but draw the line at someone wearing the above. They had a short top on and nothing was left to the imagination. This was at playgroup.

Probably an injudicious choice of clothes, but why does it bother you so much?

MissDD1971 · 21/08/2013 17:00

does this apply to nude coloured stuff too and those sheer chiffon skirts currently in fashion?

I've seen a few loose women wearing the chiffon skirts and you COULD see their knickers or whatever under them.

and the nude stuff, I didn't judge by my SIL or her mother saw someone wearing this and they judged harshly.

Shock

at playgroup surely only other mothers and kids there so does it really matter?!

Kasterborous · 21/08/2013 17:02

Because I don't really want to see bum cheeks! Yes I know they are not offensive, and maybe it's because I'm paranoid about my own fat arse.

MissDD1971 · 21/08/2013 17:06

or Kasterborous someone's knickers or not CLEARLY showing through a sheer skirt etc!

Yawner247 · 21/08/2013 17:07

Errr don't look thenShock

Kasterborous · 21/08/2013 17:10

I didn't look specially, I noticed when she happened to bend over in front of me!

OP posts:
MissDD1971 · 21/08/2013 17:12

suppose when they're blatantly staring you in face. you can't help but stare then. this happened with me with woman and said skirt. couldn't look elsewhere as passing on stairs where supermarket is.

ToysRLuv · 21/08/2013 17:12

YANBU

Kasterborous · 21/08/2013 17:14

I don't find it offensive really, they were just very tight leggings!

NoComet · 21/08/2013 17:18

My prize goes to the 'stylish' woman who's bare arse is in one of our holiday pictures.

Low cut jeans and the very steep steps at the Minack theatre are not a good combination.

cocolepew · 21/08/2013 17:18

I saw a girl today with obviously no knickers on and see through leggings and a crop top on.

ToysRLuv · 21/08/2013 17:19

Maybe she didn't know they were so see through? She can't see her bottom, after all? That said, leggings should pretty much always be treated like tights. Not trousers.

WillyandTig · 21/08/2013 17:20

YANBU but just wait until you see one with no underwear at all. Chuff visible. Just what you fancy seeing in the middle of the day.

kali110 · 21/08/2013 17:22

Yadnbu!! So many people by me, crop tops, much too tight see through leggings and g-string.
Why are they always walking in front of me!!!!

MissDD1971 · 21/08/2013 17:23

if it's someone you see at playgroup is it terrible to politely say if you see more than you're supposed to in case they don't realise they're so see through?

or do I expect a slap in the face with a cold fish for saying this at very least?! Smile

Yonididnaedaethat · 21/08/2013 17:27

yeah maybe she didn't know....I never realised mine were see thru until I bent over and my DH said "you're wearing black pants with red dots, aren't you?" and I thought I was wearing good quality thick ones Shock

MrsMangoBiscuit · 21/08/2013 17:28

I don't really want to see anyone's arse when I'm out and about. Whether it's on show because their trousers/jeans are so low, or because their clothes are see-through, is irrelevant. Funnily enough I don't care about seeing chests, fat bellies, breasts, man boobs etc just don't want to see arse! Grin

specialsubject · 21/08/2013 17:31

it's not pretty, is it? I've been trapped walking down alleyways behind females like this and have gone as far as waiting until they are out of sight. Thin or fat makes no difference, it is just gross.

just file in the 'got dressed in the dark/drunk' box and look the other way ASAP!

Littleen · 21/08/2013 17:32

I don't mind, but prefer not to see the whole actual bum (skin and uhm, each bumcheek) on people, which I have on both men and women on several occasions. Personally, I am more bothered with teenage boys with saggy trousers and skidmarks on their trousers (lad in Southampton, we did see you!)

As for g-strings; I actually don't think they look good on anyone, regardless of figure. Just doesn't look right, wear some nice french knickers or something instead :P

Littleen · 21/08/2013 17:33

kali110 - I'd love to know where in the country you live? :P

SHarri13 · 21/08/2013 17:35

It's rank, why o why?!?!

TSSDNCOP · 21/08/2013 17:36

YABU but only because one shouldn't wear too thin leggings regardless of the type of underwear.

You may not be able to see your own arse when they're on, but if you can see daylight through them when you're on the toilet theyre too thin dufus!

NorksAreMessy · 21/08/2013 17:36

I regularly yell mutter "LEGGINGS ARE NOT TROUSERS"

Pobblewhohasnotoes · 21/08/2013 17:37

YANBU. And leggings should not be worn as trousers.

KissMeHardy · 21/08/2013 17:39

There was a very large young lady in the supermarket car park dressed in see-through leggings and a thong with a short top. I can't tell you how dreadful she looked. And, yes, because she was larger than average it looked worse than average Grin
