I would love to see Calvin absolutely gorgeous Harris.

Myliferocks · 17/08/2013 13:48

Why not?

I'm in my 30's and DP is in his 40's yet we regularly go and see Tiesto playing in Ibiza.
We're not normally the oldest ones there either!

PeriodFeatures · 17/08/2013 13:49

I saw Calvin Harris..am in my 30s and it was a mixed age crowd....brilliant night. Go!

dontwannasaywho · 17/08/2013 13:53

I've no one to go with, my dh did the clubbing thing years ago but hes more into trance from years ago not so much the new stuff nowadays.

My sons 13 but I doubt he would want to go with me, I could get a ticket and go on my own or would that be too weird! Confused

dontwannasaywho · 17/08/2013 13:53

Yeah but would you go on your own?

DP went to London to see Judas Priest on his own. He went by coach then stayed in a hotel and came back the next day.

Latara · 17/08/2013 13:56

Just go or you will regret it. I'm 36 recently and love Tiesto.

I saw Calvin Harris 2 yrs ago, definitely wasn't the oldest there.

PeriodFeatures · 17/08/2013 14:29

Get two tickets, make DH go, he will LOVE it!

littlewhitebag · 17/08/2013 16:19

Why wouldn't you? My DH and i went to see Muse recently. My niece (21) told us it would be full of young people and we would be the oldest. (we are 49 and 50) . WE were not the oldest by a long, long way. Who cares what others think. Just do it.

ShellyBoobs · 17/08/2013 17:03

Slightly totally off-topic but have you seen how much money Tiesto and Harris make?

It's unbelievable to someone like me who grew up clubbing in the very early 90s where even the very best DJs in the world made next to nothing.

I was Shock when I read how much CH is paid per set.

Not bad when you consider that only a couple of years ago he was working in M&S and making his first chart hits in his bedroom at his mum's house!

Camelscantdance · 17/08/2013 17:25

I saw him in April at the Bahrain Grand Prix . I really enjoyed it, and I'm 40!

hectorslarry · 17/08/2013 22:37

I'm 25 and I'm off to see them in December.

By myself. Nobody wants to go with me and I'm not missing out. By the time I'm jumping about like a loon nobody will realise I'm alone lol

I have seen tiesto several times before and he's brilliant live. I've not seen Calvin Harris yet but I can't wait.

So no, YANBU

funkybuddah · 17/08/2013 22:39

Yanbu music didn't have an age limit dammit.

StHelenInPerson · 17/08/2013 22:48

I am Envy,I was meant to be going to Ibiza for the 1st time tomorrow but cancelled due to not being able to get my dd to stay at her nanas happily.
My bf is going still and I went to visit friends in Spain instead but still SadEnvy
He is 30 too.

ots · 17/08/2013 22:50

I remember from another thread that there is a MNer who is Calvin Harris' sister!

whois · 17/08/2013 22:50

I'm mid(to late) twenties. My friends are up to late thirties. We go to see DJs all the time!

OP you would be super surprised by the crowd, people don't stop enjoying themselves at the big 30.

Myliferocks · 17/08/2013 22:50

The first time we saw Tiesto in Ibiza it blew our minds although so did the second and third.
Haven't been for a few years since he switched venues but seeing him at Privilege was just amazing!

StHelenInPerson · 17/08/2013 22:51

Also meant to say yanbu.
I will hopefully try and get away for a night or two in the uk when dd is older next year to see tiesto or even deadmou5

Myliferocks · 17/08/2013 22:53

We're off to see Kutski in September. We don't care how old we are. Our then 16 yr old DD text us last year to see if we were going to Creamfields. Her friends were very impressed as their parents wouldn't have known what Creamfields was never mind actually going to it.
We're legendary amongst her friends because we are quite a bit younger than her friends parents and we still go clubbing when we can find babysitters for our DC.

MissBetseyTrotwood · 17/08/2013 23:11

Just go! My DH works in that industry and you definitely won't be the oldest there. He knows a couple of people who go to gigs on their own too. Sod it, go and enjoy it.

DH works then comes home and has breakfast with the DCs. He also listens to the Archers. It's impossible to be less rock and roll than him. Grin

MissBetseyTrotwood · 17/08/2013 23:13

Watch this if you like tiesto too. Grin
