Just butter for me, I am a plain girl. Sometimes though I will put some ham on it. But mostly just the butter will do :)

Ham on toast?! Heathen!

I don't have it often, but slathering it with honey is the way forward.

DizzyPurple · 17/08/2013 10:16

Strawberry jam! Or sometimes Brie and white grapes but that's more of an evening thing..

imtheonlyone · 17/08/2013 10:16

Weegiemum · 17/08/2013 10:21

Butter. Proper salted butter!!

flipflump · 17/08/2013 10:23

Marmite!!! Counting down the days until baby arrives and I can have pâté on toast again!!!

CecilyP · 17/08/2013 10:24

Pate
Cream Cheese
Marmite
Marmalade is best - never jam; jam just tastes wrong, I don't know why.
It would never have occurred to me to put chocolate spread on toast and I am not going to start now.

mrsjay · 17/08/2013 10:25

BobbyGentry · 17/08/2013 10:27

Pesto sauce and cheese on toast is brilliant :)

wisheshappentobehorsestoday · 17/08/2013 10:31

I like, usually on light rye bread:
Hummus;
Avocado/guacamole ( often with lemon juice and danish feta );
Apricot jam and thinly sliced cheddar; or,
Peanut butter, banana and cinnamon

YouJustMetTheAlphaParent · 17/08/2013 10:33

Dairylea and cucumber slices.

Philadelphia and red pepper slices.

Real butter and marmalade.

Real butter and homemade chicken liver pate with a touch of red currant jelly.

TheProsAndConsOfHitchhiking · 17/08/2013 10:33

Proper salted butter and lots of it.

I sometimes have seriously strong cheddar spread on it but not often.

When i was pregnant with my youngest ds I had cravings for toast with butter and 'extra' salt, I would cover it with the stuff [bork]

Tuna heated up and browned.
Cadbury chocolate spread.
Loads and loads of butter to make it drip.
When I'm up for cooking, bacon on toast.

Fakebook · 17/08/2013 10:37

Sometimes just butter, but with hot sweet tea and I fold the toast into a tube and dip it in the hot sweet tea. The salty and sweet taste is divine.

Sometimes with strawberry jam but with no sugar in my tea.

My tea and toast have to be well balanced for me to enjoy.

EndoplasmicReticulum · 17/08/2013 10:37

Jam or marmalade. Not with butter as well, just jam or marmalade. Preferably homemade.

BeyondTheLimitsOfAcceptability · 17/08/2013 10:39

Philadelphia and smoked salmon right now, usually marg and one piece marmite, one jam (savoury then pudding, lol)

My sister used to only eat toast if she had a blob of ketchup to dip it in

waikikamookau · 17/08/2013 10:41

butter and marmite,
sometimes nutella instead of marmite.
but always lurpak
