AIBU to just go back to bed for the rest of today?

I have woken up with the worst PMT ever and have started a fight with DH over nothing. Cue tears, snot, the works.

Pull myself tighter and decide I will take oldest DS and my niece to cinema, on way to pick her up some stupid man was driving down the middle of the road. I slam brakes and swerve, crash into a parked car. Man in middle of road drives off!!! I have left my details under windscreen wipers of car I hit.

Get to nieces house, dog jumps up at me and leaves footprints on my bestest maxi skirt.

Get to cinema, card won't register against the prebooked tickets number.

Arggghhhh, this day isn't going to get any better is it???

AIBU to give up on the day and just go back to bed? We are supposed to be going to a BBQ later, but frankly I fear for myself and children around open flames!!

Apologies for typos, grammer etc. On i-phone and its tricky to post anything over 3 lines Smile

Go back to bed with a bottle of wine and a good book. Today is not your day!

I often have days like that where everything I seem to say or do just goes completely wrong. On those days I often feel like curling up away from the world. Unfortunately with my lot it's pretty much impossible to do so. Hopefully your day won't get any worse. Take a deep breath and take the bastard day by the horns (so to speak lol)

You're right, it's a health and safety issue really. Your house would undoubtedly go up in flames.

Definitely head for bed with a good book.

I'd love to do the same myself, DH is in hospital recovering from major surgery and I'm stuck at home with two very tired and cranky small people and no car. The house is knee deep is toys but neither of them wants to play with anything and I can't even resort to tv because they're too cranky and bored to watch it. sigh

Wine or tea, and back to me. It's not lazy at all, more like self preservation ;-) YANBU although you should apologise to hubby then pass him the kids

For medicinal purposes, you will also require a bar of chocolate at least as big as your head.

WineBrewThanks Hope your day gets better.

Thanks everyone, I didn't go back to bed but there were some positives:

  1. I saw an old friend at the BBQ who has given me some brill advice about something I was dithering over.

  2. I said sorry to DH who accepted without question :)

  3. DH wasn't remotely bothered about the car, shrugged and said that's why we've got insurance

  4. my oldest wasn't the worst behaved child at the BBQ Grin That does actually make a change!!!
