To think "midweek" does not mean Friday!

I had a job interview last week and was told we'd all hear back midweek this week. It's Thursday evening and not heard anything yet. I called the agency that arranged it and they said they were expecting a call today but no response yet.

I know it's not a big deal in the wider scheme of things, but I just want to know one way or the other and be able to stop worrying!

If you applied through an agency, you'll never hear from them again if you don't get the job.

I had an interview though and was promised feedback so I will keep on at them until I get some!

I understand they don't respond to every application, I've applied for shitloads recently and only had a handful of rejections even though I know 99% are in fact rejections!

Plus I phoned them and they said they hadn't heard yet, if I didn't get it, he'd have just told me that surely?

I am so impatient & i hate the waiting & the not knowing. I would like to know either way too.
