Why oh why can I never get just one put of the pack?? I always hold one and shake the damned packet whilst trying to hold dd still and prevent her from rolling/rubbing toys into pooey bum/getting feet and hands poo covered. And I don't get just one wipe which would do, I get a string of them out all stuck together and in trying to free them I need two hands and that's it. Poo smeared baby.
Am I just rubbish at this or are wipe packets just irritating?

I never buy Huggies, for this reason (Aldi usually or Pampers on offer) but we were on holiday and ran out and the Huggies were "Buy 1 Get 2 Free" so I did and I regret it, deeply. On the other issue, I get out wipes first, unless it's an emergency situation, and grip the ankles firmly, holding them up, using that arm, if necessary, to hold back inquisitive hands ...... DC4 not that awkward yet and DC3 both fastidious and potty training ...

Have a look at Cheeky Wipes. A revelation. Wish we had discovered them 18mths ago. And no, I don't work for them. Smile

Cloth wipes, absolutely, they actually clean it up and I use nothing but water on them. No fiddling about, no smearing poo everywhere, wam bam and off you trot.

I use babybits soap squares dissolved in a spray bottle of water. The pound shop baby flannels are about 6 to a packet, a few sprays of the solution onto the cloth, and it will clean anything. I used toilet roll for the initial clean, then flushed it.
DS is 6, but the cloths are still going strong for cleaning face after eating etc.

Wash cloth look like this: www.amazon.co.uk/Baby-Face-Wash-Cloths-Pack/dp/B007EA5CUC/ref=sr_1_2?s=baby&ie=UTF8&qid=1375740542&sr=1-2&keywords=baby+wash+cloths

Same with wafer ham these days. Can't get one piece out only a scrunched up ball of 5 bits.

I put baby's head to the right of me on the changing mat, baby's thighs against tummy/knees to chest, my right hand on back of her thighs, and do the job as quickly as poss. AFTER having removed wipes from the packet. Use a brand of eco wipes I'm too embarrassed to admit to using in public, which come out EIGHT at a time.
