The Daniel Pelker case (and others like it have upset me so badly) makes me wonder how many others have/had to experience being bribed to protect a family member?

Never. I was only ever bought chocolate and lollies to cheer me up or as a reward, as were my siblings.
Poor poor little boy. I hope he's in a better place now. What a horrible short life. .
