To wonder what's wrong with people if you need to put up a sign like this

I was in a tile showroom last week. In the bathroom section they had the usual tiled bathroom displays with toilets, showers, baths, etc. Howeover there were signs at each display saying "Customers are asked not to use the display toilets. You can request the key to the customer toilet from any member of staff". I was quite shocked. It must be a real problem if they have to put signs up and WHY do people need to be told this?

I know two children who've wee-d in display toilets at our local B&Q.

Far too young to read the signs though. Grin

I imagine that a fair few toddlers have had a go in their time.

Ha ha! I would have laughed out loud if I'd seen that sign!

I watched a little boy weeing into a display toilet behind the checkout, just by the entrance, while queuing at b+q a while back. Was going to say something but it was already too late and didn't want to embarrass him.

I suppose it's to remind parents to be vigilant!

We sell toilets at work and have had to put Perspex over the top of all the toilet bowls as it has happened more than once!

I stopped at a big garage there at the weekend to use the bathroom. it also had baby changing facilities and while sitting on the bog I read a big sign on it that said "please ensure your baby is not on the mat when folding it up" or something to that effect. was raging I left me phone in the car I wanted to take a pic of it.

fluckered · 02/08/2013 11:04

to clarify it was a hinged to the wall fold out table.

Did you ever see the episode of Ab Fab where Eddie's trying to use a public changing mat?

She assumed that you plonked the baby on, folded it up with the baby on, waited, folded it back down and the baby had a clean nappy upon return.
