to think DH should have let ME squeeze his huge zit?

This morning DH asked me to get him a plaster as he "may have knocked the top of a spot on his back", and didn't want his physio to see it.

Had a look and a crater has appeared, with obvious puss after effects, at least 1" across. He admitted he attacked it in the night. How he managed as it is right in the middle of his back, I don't know.

Anyway - spot squidging is MY job in this house - and he knows it.

So, AIBU to have a frump? Grin

wigglybeezer · 31/07/2013 18:35

Very disappointing for you Wink

NotYoMomma · 31/07/2013 18:36

my dad asked me to squeeze a 46 year old blackhead on his back. it took hours and is still one of the happiest days of my life.

lol

your DH is ridiculously unreasonable

strawberryswing · 31/07/2013 18:39

You are soo NBU. Are you me? I have to pin my Dp down to get a spot whilst he is whining it hurts!. He tries to get them first before I see but its my job!

livinginwonderland · 31/07/2013 18:45

You are so NBU! I squeeze DP's spots. I get him to lie down and I sit on him and squeeze to my hearts content. He has a massive blackhead on his back that I have my eye on. well aware that this makes me seem like massive squeezing freak

Milliways · 31/07/2013 19:06

He does normally let me, hence the disappointment. Grin

Divorce him!!!! Grin

OH's are quite pathetic, by far the best were on 20 year old DS's back (he's hairy so they were HUGE) and he's left home now so I'm bereft of huge zits.
It takes every ounce of willpower I have not to strip him of his shirt and pin him down when he comes home to visit Blush

JollyHolidayGiant · 31/07/2013 19:10

Mine won't let me squeeze his at all. He's mean.

DS has a pus filled infection on his toe at the moment. It's grown yellower throughout the day today. I really, really want to stick a pin in it and get the gunk out. Maybe tomorrow I will.

HeffalumpTheFlump · 31/07/2013 19:12

Ltb. Angry

Spot squeezing in this house is MY JOB and no one else's.

Mouthfulofquiz · 31/07/2013 19:13

I had the pleasure of squeezing out a family member's sebaceous cyst.
Life. Does not. Get better.

Ericaequites · 31/07/2013 19:13

My soon to be ex husband didn't believe in squeezing spots at all. He winged about everything hurting.

My mum brought me up right. She used to position my teenage brother under the kitchen light, then proceed to pop his zits.

TheAccidentalExhibitionist · 31/07/2013 19:16

Had to squeeze one on my DHs arse a couple of years back. The thing exploded and a bit of pus went into my mouth.

Never again

SuzySheepSmellsNice · 31/07/2013 19:21

«pukes»

GhostsInSnow · 31/07/2013 19:24

jolly can you not get him drunk?

I've had the exploding pus in the eye before. Stings a bit.

GemmaTeller · 31/07/2013 19:27

have my first mumsnet ......LTB..... Grin

Babymamaroon · 31/07/2013 19:27

YADNBU!!! It's a delightful, hand-rubbing-with-glee job that has been taken from you. I'd be annoyed too.

Allegrogirl · 31/07/2013 19:28

YA so NBU. DH hates me squeezing his zits as it says it really hurts. He thinks I'm a weird, spot obsessed freak. Gets really defensive when I give bits of his face a hard stare. He's not keen on mirrors so not usually aware of their existence until I pounce.

PeteCampbellsRecedingHairline · 31/07/2013 19:30

YANBU.

I was pissed off because I had a massive spot on my back which I thought only men got and I couldn't reach it.

DH did squeeze it for me but i felt bereft that I wasn't able to.

PeriodFeatures · 31/07/2013 19:32

First time I have laughed out loud all day. Thank you.

And o.p YANBU. Your DH is completely negligent.

PeriodFeatures · 31/07/2013 19:35

Me an my DH still discuss the big spot I had behind my ear about 7 years ago.

He often looks for one the same but nothing has been close.

IShallCallYouSquishy · 31/07/2013 19:37

I knew I loved my husband the day he said "can you try and squeeze the spot on my bum for me"

There I was straddled over his half naked body, flushed with excitement, and wielding cotton wool, tissues and antiseptic. I love my DH Smile

iliketea · 31/07/2013 19:38

YANBU - "with my body I worship you" (is that in marriage vows) obviously includes permission to pop big spots.

I reckon it's grounds for divorce Smile

GhostsInSnow · 31/07/2013 19:40

Probably a step too far but Youtube is full of spot squeezing videos. DS's GF was so excited when she showed me Blush

NotAnotherPackedLunch · 31/07/2013 19:40

YANBU at all.
Do you think the right to squeeze spots could be incorporated into some new mumsnet approved wedding vows?
Or would it sit better in the pre nup?

Alohomora · 31/07/2013 19:46

YANBU, what a disappointment. My man knows that I get great satisfaction from squeezing zits, the pusier the better - I've noticed a tendency in him to try avoidance techniques on me and I am not impressed.

(pssst, I got to queeze out an in-grown hair that had been there for twenty years, it was like a volcano erupted, I was so pleased)
