It's a scene from Family Guy. I was guffawing at South Park at the age of 10, which is far more inappropriate than Family Guy... 12 year olds are exposed to far worse imo.

I too was watching southpark laughing along way younger than i should of been and had a you killed kenny pencil case. cant stand the show now, or family guy.

I saw a boy of probably similar age wearing this t shirt in Cambridge last week. Me and the person I was with both did a wtf face at each other but I've thought no more of it. I'd not want my dc wearing it, but this bit was with his mother so presumably she was ok with it. I think family guy is hilarious fwiw, just not for someone of 12

this is the thing of it, my son is 12 and I wouldn't let him leave the house in that Tshirt.. However my favourite tshirt when I was 14 was a south park one which had at least one fuck on it as well as a t shirt which was just a hand with a middle finger on it and my parents weren't bothered about me wearing them at all (or if they were they never mentioned it)

I realise this makes me a total hypocrite

my fave tshirt when i was a teenager had the lines of a monitor on with a flatline in the middle. it said underneath "for a minute there you bored me to death" id never wear it now but i loved that shirt

I personally don't think it is appropriate for a 12y boy to be wearing - many reasons really. No child of mine would be allowed. But then I don't like thinks like Family Guy and South Park so they'd be off limits too.

This was considered as rude as all-get-out when I was that age. Yes, I had it on a T-Shirt, keyring, stickers everywhere...........

Malcolm My mum used to wear that on a tshirt! Took a long time before we realised it was rude at all, especially since South Park came along to warp our minds. I had a lot of fairly rude tops by the time I was 12/13 ish, and my parents never batted an eye. Guess I'll have to wait and see whether they bother me when DD gets there.

Oh come on! No swearing, no nudity. Based on a Benny Hill sketch, which although gross, tacky & inappropriate, I was watching much you get than 12.

I'd much rather a few good swear words.

As the mother of two girls, I'm not certain I want boys that young getting the idea that a womans only purpose is to parade around in their underwear ti entertain a fat ugly fully clothed man.

starballbunny I discussed this with Dh last night afteri posted. I don't think this T-shirt is offensive as it may appear give the context of the scene to which it refers. I am a fan of Famiky Guy, I get it.

However, what we discussed was whether an average 12 year olds would look through the apparently racist, sexist, anti-Semitic humour & see the social commentary underneath. We agreed no & as a result this probably isn't suitable.

But, as someone who grew up watching Benny Hill, Jim Davidson & other 70s & 80s delights, I don't think that this t-shirt would give boys that age the idea you suggest. I think that we have much worse to worry about than that.

As the mother of a boy & a girl I intend to impart enough common sense by age 12 to avoid confusing cartoons with real life.

I grew up with that sort of humour too and still don't mind it, even though I'm sure I should.

The DDs are great Top gear and gadget show fans and there is plenty of misogynistic twaddle in those.

But, freezing a sceen of scatterly clad women on a T shirt for everyone to see, out of context and without everyone knowing the joke seems wrong.

Especially as the wearer was probably to young to watch the show.

(I certainly wouldn't want DD2 wearing a QI T-shirt, people would rightly judge. She should not get the jokes, but younger siblings always do).
