I'm trying to make a playlist for an event, sort of a counterpart to other events going on that have very serious formal dances. Ours is going to be loud, raucous and full of guilty pleasure music.

I don't see any reason we can't have some fun with this. Pick one or more and dance around the house!

Starting off, I have We Built This City by Starship, It's Not Unusual by Tom Jones, You Shook Me by AC/DC.....

There is no song that would get me up to dance. I have 2 left feet and hate dancing.

Status Quo Rocking All Over the World. It was the song that opened Live Aid in 1985 and got thousands dancing, so should get a few people on their feet.

I actually think it depends on the ages of people there to an extent. There are songs people have mentioned here that I've never heard of, so unlikely to make me want to dance.
