I don't think that makes you a muppet.

I've spent all day taken in by a thread that, on nearing the end, was most definitely a troll.

I could have been learning a language or traversing the Sahara or something useful. Grin

Arf!

Me too...

squoosh · 26/07/2013 21:46

Ha!

I sometimes struggle with those shorthands too. When I moved to Glasgow for a year or two I thought there was a football player called Gers as there were constant headlines about him. Gers wins a match etc.

Then it dawned on me that Gers was short for Rangers. Duh.

love,
not Tia.

Please explain to those still in the dark....

NeverKnowinglyUnderstood · 26/07/2013 21:47

thanks in anticipation

MrsRajeshKoothrappali · 26/07/2013 21:50

Oh, I thought it was 'thanks in advance..'

chipmonkey · 26/07/2013 21:51

When I first joined MN I thought an unusual number of women had children with the initials dd.

LittleprincessinGOLDrocks · 26/07/2013 21:51

Yeah I thought it was thanks in advance too MrsRajesh

OliviaIsOffTheGinMumsnet · 26/07/2013 21:51

chipmonkey · 26/07/2013 21:52

Mrs Rajesh, it can, depending on which socio-economic group you belong to.

ShirazSavedMySanity · 26/07/2013 21:53

What does it all meeeeaaan?

OliviaIsOffTheGinMumsnet · 26/07/2013 21:57

As far as I know.

squoosh · 26/07/2013 21:57

I think Wilf is the name of a poster's son, isn't that right?

AhoyMcCoy · 26/07/2013 21:58

AFAIK- As Far As I Know

Wilf is the name of a MNers son.

PearlyWhites · 26/07/2013 21:59

Hopefully it is wilf not milf !

EweHaveGoatToBeKiddin · 26/07/2013 21:59

papercliphoarder · 26/07/2013 22:08

When I first joind I thougbt that when people just put the word "bump" as a post on any thread (even one about eastendrs) they were announcing that they had just discovered they were pregnant

squoosh · 26/07/2013 22:13
Grin

Announcing a pregnancy with a single 'bump' doesn't sound too excited does it!

papercliphoarder · 26/07/2013 22:15

Stealth that's brilliant Grin
