To think that if Aldi got awards for their babywipes...

...they shouldn't change them so that they're crap and still put the award on the packet?

I have always preferred the aldi babywipes because they didn't smell weird and they were robust.

we bought the new style pack at the end of last week, and I immediately hoped that the new style pack would work as well.
but they've changed the wipes too! They're now as pully and flimsy as the sainsbury's basics wipes.
and they smell really weird

I'm a fan of their nappies and wipes. I've got a pack of the new wipes but haven't tried them yet. How disappointing if that's the case. I buy them because they're cheap but the quality was just as good as the more expensive ones. Looks like I will have to reconsider.

YANBU!!!

I don't usually buy wipes in aldi, but was stuck a few weeks ago and bought them. They were more expensive than my usual Tesco brand and I thought they were awful. Really dry and a very odd smell. Couldn't believe they had won awards, and found out after from a friend that they were different.

the old design was brilliant.

they've always had the lid.

the new lid is almost square. (the old ones were definitely rectangular)

pull a wipe lengthways - if it stretches loads, it's the new wipes. the old ones didn't do that.

and they never used to smell at all!

I bought a pack and the wipes in the bottom were really soapy and foamy. So that put me off.

Have tried lidl wipes and they seem fine for now.

Nooooo!!!!!

I love Aldi wipes!!

Will have to try the new ones tomorrow. Has everyone seen that the is a £5 off £40 spend voucher due in the daily mirror tomorrow?

scarletforya · 24/07/2013 17:42

Have you noticed every packet of wipes EVER, no matter where you buy them has 'award' claims on them?

I like the Lidl ones, nice and wet.

I hate Johnsons, they smell revolting.

BrokenBanana · 24/07/2013 17:50

Not seen that but thanks Gruffalump!

If you can, try the Kirkland brand ones in Costco. They don't look cheaper, but they are so big you only need half of one to do the job. Also, all of them are wet, not just the ones at the bottom. No scent, either. I love them.
