to be upset

I just want advice really.

I'm looking after a little boy (child A) 2 mornings a week before school. He goes to the same school as my dds. He is in the same class of another little girl (Child B) whom I used to look after about 5 years ago. They are both 7.

Anyway this morning, right before we left for school, my dds came to me upset saying that child A told them that child B had been really insulting towards us saying that we were a family of weirdos and that my dd2 was crazy and really weird. DD2 is only 6 and was really upset to be told that.

I'm also shocked and I'd like to know what I can do. I don't want to let it go but I don't know how to approach the problem.

I can't see you can do anything about a single incident. Children are sometimes unpleasant and untruthful. Comfort your daughter and move on.
