I'm ready to be judged/ flamed

we were at my sisters house and they had a sprinkler

as I had not bought swimming stuff for my ds (4) I said they could run around in their pants (trunk style) and then go home commando style

dh said that was common

I thought it was better they do that then not be able to play in the water with their cousins

was it common? what should I have done instead

I was playing in the sprinkler at my friends house in my non matching bra & pants the other day - it was too hot to care!

It was so hot they dried before I went home - does that make me more or less common?

common, just means there is a lot of it around.

common sense though, is not so common. especially wheer your dh is concerrned

Let them go commando on the way home. But them I'm probably common as muck, I let my Dd run nekkid on the beach in Spain when I couldn't find her swimsuit.

wearing pants in the sprinkler if the DCs did not want to me naked then go home in shorts/trousers with no pants seems the most sensible thing to do.

We went to the beach the other day and the DCs wore their swim stuff there, I took pants but forgot their shorts so they walked to the car in their pants, I really couldn't care less what anyone though.

I think in quite a common area so we probably didn't stand out

Seriously? They young kids. Nothing wrong with a four year old playing in his pants. If have done the same. Hope he enjoyed the sprinkler. Better common than a killjoy

Totally fine to either go in the water in pants and go home commando, or go in the water naked seeing as they are at their cousins house and only small!

Bloody hell, DH and I took DS on holiday to a bar for lunch and when we arrived there found it had a pool!

I let DS swim in his undies and dried him off with his t-shirt.

Never realised I was being common.

Ah fuck it, the kid loved it.
