To think that the heatwave should not stop at the beginning of the summer holidays?

I love the sun and heat and now it's getting cooler and cloudier. Bugger. It would be good to have a few days of respite but can someone please reassure me that the nice weather will continue? (pleeeeeease)

YANBU. It will be crapola from Wednesday at 1.20pm until first week of September when it will be heatwave time. You mark my words.

It's OK, we're going on holiday this week so it is guaranteed to be hot and sunny for two weeks, at which point it will probably start snowing.

YABU - some of us have had this glorious weather since our summer holidays started, at the end of June. Scotland rocks

We have had brilliant weather this year, usually it rains/is cool until the schools go back in August.

Certainly not complaining this year

Enough of the Scottish bragging.

I start work on Friday, so we have to have sun until then, it can do what it wants after that.

Not often us Scots can brag about the weather, summer hols been amazing this year.

I'll third that! Scotland's has amazing summer holidays this year. First few days were rainy and rubbish then since then its been hot hot hot.

Oh. Please let the sun stay. I would love to have a proper summer for a change. My dcs don't break up until Thursday and it looks set to be rubbish from here on in. :(

Forecast I have on my tablet is cloudy with a little sun and occasional showers after Monday (which will be thundery) then more sunshine but cooler until mid August (when I have a canal holiday booked) after which it will be back to normal for UK. It did say the later part of the forecast was unpredictable though.

YANBU, need sun for another two weeks (after that I don't mind so much).

YABU. I cannot stand the heat. Can't wait for it to be cool enough to leave the house again.

They can only give relatively accurate forecasts for up to about 5 days so I wouldn't give much credence to what they say beyond that tbh.

I would be quite glad if it turns a bit rainy again, at least then I will get peace from my neighbours and their late night garden drinking sessions, they never seem to go to anyone else's it's always their garden and I'm getting hacked off with it now. Although I'm in Scotland so we've had half our summer holidays, maybe I would feel differently if they were just starting.

I think the English have their summer holidays all wrong. Summers nearly over by the time schools break up down there. Been a glorious few weeks in Scotland though it looks like there's lots of rain on its way, still gonna be warm though
