Seriously Shock!!!

I quote...

I wasnt expecting jordan to find it funny either tbh. I was expecting her to be very offended, which is funnier in itself, than the actual joke

Really!!! The funny bit is offending the Mother of a disabled child. I am really shocked by that. I could understand the general 'freedom of speech' angle, but to be amused by the thought of offending a mother by ridiculing their disabled child is disgusting. I think that is incredibly nasty and heartless. It's bad enough not to care if Harvey's mother was offended but to positively find it amusing is sick.

I could never wish that on ANY mother.

I boggled at that too.

That just shows exactly the mentality of the joke. It makes a certain type of person laugh because it is upsetting someone.

He defends it now by saying we should be more outraged about the government taking away the benefits of the disabled, therefore trying to turn it into a political statement.

I don't believe him. I think he was being a playground bully. And those laughing were the bullies sidekicks, who, as we all know, are far more pathetic than the people they are laughing at.

It truly is the joke that will not die.

First of all he defended it saying it was a comment on sleb exploitation now it's a condemnation of benefit-bashers.

Perhaps all those disabled people can have t-shirts made up with it printed on the front next time they're chaining their wheelchairs together outside ATOS.

And this is how Winterbourne View (remember that Panorama expose?) abuse came to be "acceptable care/treatment" to the perpetrators. It's funny to laugh at disabled people/funny to hit disabled people and watch them cower/funny to see them crawling round the floor begging to be let go. There are numbers of people who find it funny and acceptable. They are bullies. Much like Frankie Boyle.

That is the perfect example of what I was trying to explain to Branleuse, Eliza. I hope she reads it and sees what is self-evident to you and I. Of course, she might just call you hysterical, because personal attacks are easier than learning something you don't want to learn.

Eliza22 · 24/07/2013 17:18

Some people, simply do not get it. It is beyond their mental capacity, as a human being.

missmarplestmarymead · 24/07/2013 17:49

Well done for bringing that up, Eliza. There can really be no defence put forward by anyone who reads your post.
