in thinking that even though it may be hot outside, there's no need to cool an office to arctic conditions?

If it wasn't 32 degrees outside they wouldn't be cooling the office to 10 degrees, so why would they do it when it is? We have no control over our airconditioning, it's controlled centrally.

What is it about warm weather that makes people feel you need set airconditioning to stupidly low temperatures? It just needs to be set to 20 degrees, like it always is!

Think yourself lucky it's cold. I've worked with women who Even in this weather moan the office is too cold then turn the a/c up to 22 (warmer than our house in winter), sitting there in their short sleeves while the rest of us swelter. Put a cardigan on FFS and let the rest of us enjoy a cooler office.

No air conditioning in our office at all. Building work right outside, so can't even open the window, otherwise I get covered in dust..

I'm with you OP - its so warm outside yet I'm sitting there with a pashmina wrapped around me like a blanket and my leave-in-the-office thick cardie draped over my legs!

(There are only two of us in the office and if we had more people and computers it would raise the temperature a bit but not really practical right now)
