Especially as it is just above my 7mo baby's bedroom.

seethes

And before anyone asks, they are home from work much earlier, and never seem to go out otherwise, so they COULD run it earlier.

Plus they are stampy clod-footed bastards.

Now breathe...!

They might be on a cheaper electricity tarriff later at night. I'm sorry, I really do feel your pain, but it's all part of living in a flat.

HooverFairy · 17/07/2013 23:25

YABabitU but I completely understand why. Could you maybe try talking to them about it?

revealall · 17/07/2013 23:25

Probably they haven't a clue it's so annoying to you.

You need to tell them that the sound proofing is shite and could they run the machine earlier.

BreadNameBread · 17/07/2013 23:32

You could ask the to use the little rubber feet you can buy to stop vibration. They help a lot.

LongTailedTit · 17/07/2013 23:41

Sorry, YAB a little U, sounds like they're on Economy 7, my mum is and always does her washing after 10pm.
Tbh, there's no 'good' time for them to do it apart from daytime, as your DC will presumably be in their room from 7ish every evening. Most DC will be used to regularly heard noises, is it really disturbing his/her sleep?

flipchart · 17/07/2013 23:41

Probably don't realise.

My neighbours drive me potty when they Hoover at 5.30 am and likewise they will hear my hoovering at 10.30 pm.

DeweyDecibelle · 17/07/2013 23:48

Boo, I do agree I ABabitU, but it's still ever so annoying!

Bloody hate living in a flat, one day rural detachedness will be mine!

this is why ive always lived in a top floor flat Grin
That, and the fact heat rises...

domesticslattern · 18/07/2013 00:07

Don't seethe, they will just be thoughtless, pop up one day and explain nicely. Worked for us.

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 18/07/2013 10:07

If you don't tell them it's bothering you they won't know Smile
