To wonder how some people cope well in the heat and others don't.

I'm totally wiped out with the heat Blush I've spent the afternoon on bed with a splitting headache feeling like I do when I have heatstroke. I drink plenty of fluids and wear a hat etc. I don't stay in full sun, but it still gets me.

Ds2 is the same, but ds1 and dh just potter on as normal Envy

I see people out and about quite happy, whereas I'm knackered, sweating and trying to find drinks and paracetamol.

I'm happy that the weather's nice, but wish I could cope better.

I'm an overweight (about 3 stone) winter baby. I LOVE this weather. In fact, I've just been sat outside in jeans, tshirt and flip flops, with goosebumps. And it's about 20c here. I hate winter, all cold and manky and bleurgh.
All hail the lizards!! (Basking on hot rocks to warm up, bliss!)

Oh gosh, I swell up too! I think the body retains the water as the heat can lead to dehydration.

I've been dreaming in knitwear and frost.

I don't like BEING cold, but I do like THE cold.

I feel helpless in the heat, I don't like it.

I feel guilty because I spent all afternoon floating on a lilo in the paddling pool, blissful right? It was actually a rather miserable afternoon!

McNewPants2013 · 16/07/2013 23:38

I was born in december and I love this weather. I now got my dressing gown on as it now 14°c and feeling cold.

Aldi-me too,I feel awful and really sick. I have had to delete the weather app on my phone as I keep checking it and getting panicky as it's meant to get even hotter next week!!I can barely cope in this heat.

I have jst put DS2 down with heat exhaustion....again

He is simply not built for this weather as he is naturally very active, sweats a lot and forgets to drink. Also does not slow down for the heat.

My other DS is cool as cucumber.
