Dd2 dad and I seperated two years ago but ive eorked hard to try and maintain contact between him and her sister which is my dd3 and her. Ex was va controlling knob and doesnt show much interest in them anyway but still. .

Two days ago I reminded him about sports day and did he want to come. He said yes etc so I left it and he said see u Tuesday etc.

THis morning.. no ex. Phone switched off and dd upset.

GOt hold of him now and he said he was tired from a long shift yesterday which finished at half eight and he wad also tired because he had an important xbox match with his friend and if I had wanted to come that badly I should have gone and picked him up.

Went mad and now I'm a bitch. Wibu.

Yanbu. He should have put the x box down and gone to bed like a normal person. So he could get up to go to sports day.

YANBU

pianodoodle · 16/07/2013 12:44

An "important" xbox match wtf?!

I feel for you having to reason with someone who feels that way :(

YANBU although I suppose the main concern is whether or not children were upset by this. If they were then that's shit.

Smartieaddict · 16/07/2013 12:45

YAB a bit U in getting upset, but only because he is not worth wasting your emotions on. He sounds like a complete waste of skin!

Nanny0gg · 16/07/2013 12:55

Next time, don't tell your DC.
If he comes it's a nice surprise and if he doesn't then there's no disappointment.

ImTooHecsyForYourParty · 16/07/2013 12:57

He prioritised a bloody computer game over honouring a commitment to his child?

I'd call him a wankstain but that's an insult to wankstains .

grannyogg's idea is perfect x

important xbox match

thank god he is your ex, is all I can say.

StuntGirl · 16/07/2013 14:40

I agree, manage your kids expectations better next time, especially if he has form for being a knob.

He sounds like a prick though. Arf @ 'important xbox match' Grin This ain't South Korea!

Ghostsgowoooh · 16/07/2013 15:51

Im glad ianbu then :). I just told dd haf to go into work again. Saves her being even more hurt.

This is the same father who, after seeing his dds for three weeks came round after work once and completely ignored his daughters and told them they had to learn to wait until he was ready to speak to them as he was stressd with the journey of getting to mine. He only had a three mile bus journey!

He is an arse of the highest order
