aibu or is my new neighbour just oblivious

Neighbour has spent last 12 months renovating house next door, terraced housing
Have overlooked a few nights of banging and work during winter as know he also works full time
Now he's building a shed in the garden and had been cutting breeze blocks for shed for past hour, right across bedtime of two year old son (who he had met etc, knows exists)
Normally good sleeper son is now awake an hour past normal, sweating as had to shut all windows because of noise and generally grumpy (as am I!)
Wibu to lean over fence and moan or ignore and be a good neighbour?

Just tell them (nicely) that xxx time is your son's bedtime and could they possibly keep it down a bit at those times, ask how long they'll be doing it for etc, be friendly. Any decent neighbour will try to come to an arrangement to help.

How are neighbours on other side of him reacting to the noise? thing is if youre the only one that says something then thats what hell say 'it doesnt bother anyone else'.

but yes I would say something, mines the same and is well aware theres a mentally disabled child here and ive asked to at least warn us if therll be noise as i need to warn child. but noooooo.

and my council law (not that anyone but us take notice) is that diy stuffs supposed to stop by 6pm.

I know my neighbours child exists but could I hell tell you their bedtime routine lol
