About DH's STINK?

NeoMaxiZoomDweebie · 12/07/2013 13:18

Warning: TMI. Don't Read on if you're delicate or eating.

DH is a vegan. He does the most awful farts that I have ever had the misfortune to come across.

He was worse when he ate meat as in there were more farts....but now he's vegan they smell unbearable.

I have asked him and asked him to please go outside or to the toilet when he's going to do it....he sometimes does.

When he does one, it literally smells like raw shit....bad shit....not normal healthy shit.

It lingers for ages and I literally can't go into the room where it is.

He wont go to the doctors. He's fit and healthy...but these farts are like nothing you've ever encountered. I went to bed after him last night and the room was terrible. What can he do to minimize this? What's causing it?

Veganism? I was the same when I was vegan, but then I am intolerant to soya Confused and its in bloody everything!

OHforDUCKScake · 12/07/2013 13:20

How long has he been vegan for?

Apparently the stench is temporary.

Or perhaps a vegan said that. One that is now desensitised to their stench.

OHforDUCKScake · 12/07/2013 13:22

Yes soya can make it 736291 times worse.

If he eats Tofu, stop him!

I actually avoid tofu now because Im embarrassed by my guffs. And I usually find them hilarious.

Tofu wind is NO laughing matter.

Charcoal biscuits. You're welcome.

HeffalumpTheFlump · 12/07/2013 13:37

I feel your pain, DH is not vegan, but he has crohns disease. It causes some pretty horrific wind. However, love the man, love his gas, or at least tolerate it!! Grin at least your DH doesnt come over and do it in your face or waft it in your direction like mine does. Very mature, my DH!

Branleuse · 12/07/2013 13:38

It may be a food intolerance to something hes eating

redwellybluewelly · 12/07/2013 13:51

Lentils do that to me.

Bluecarrot · 12/07/2013 13:59

Try pre and probiotic supplements.

I took probio 7 advance and pretty sure they were vegan. Now I just eat natural yog but obv that's not possible for your DH
